Many of these items may be cheaper to purchase in Park City. Locally, we recommend Wal-Mart, the outlet mall, or Sports Authority for the best deals.

4. Where do I check in to start work?

You will need to check in with your department manager or supervisor. Please make sure to reach them via email before your arrival. They should give you a start time and location of your job before you arrive. If you get lost, you can always go to Human Resources and we will help direct you.

5. What days will I work? How many days off will I have?

This is dependent on the department where you work. Please check with your manager or supervisor via email to confirm your schedule. In general you will work anywhere from 30-40 hours a week, usually 5 days a week, with two days off. This of course is dependent on our business levels and the weather.

6. Will I be required to work holidays?

Yes. Holidays are when many guests are on vacation and visiting Park City. This means we usually become increasingly busier over the holidays. A standard winter ski season covers the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day and Easter.

7.  Will a uniform be provided to me?

Each department has its own specific uniform. The clothing necessary will depend on the job you have. Please check with your manager or supervisor to see what uniform you will be assigned and what you will need to provide on your own. We recommend that all Team Members have warm boots, and all the additional items listed above.

Not all jobs require ski/snowboard experience, however some do. Please make sure when applying online to read the requirements of the job you are apply for. Most of our Team Members enjoy taking full advantage of their season pass, available discounts on rental gear, and lessons to learn how to ski and/or snowboard. If you want to learn or improve, you will have plenty of opportunities.

9. Will I always get to work my scheduled hours?

The amount of hours you will work each week will vary.  During holidays and weekends, you may work more hours. Other days you might be sent home early or told to come back at a later time. Slow days are great days to go outside and enjoy the beauty and fun that Park City Mountain Resort has to offer!!

10. I am coming from another country to work at PCMR. How do I apply for my required Social Security Card?

Everyone who works in the United States must apply for a Social Security Card. This must be done in Salt Lake City at the Social Security Administration building. There is not public transportation between Park City and the Social Security Administration. We recommend that you share a ride with a friend, talk to others who might be going, or apply when you arrive in Salt Lake City. You must apply within the first few weeks of your arrival. We also recommend that you use the resorts address to receive your card. Many times your apartment will not have mail delivery. To play it safe we recommend mailing your card to: Your Name, PO BOX 39, Park City, UT 84060. When your card arrives we will deliver to you.
