Patrol Exchanging

It's been awhile since I posted and figured I'd best write something before Krista starts giving me grief! It has certainly been a fine January with cold temps and consistant snow. The snowpack seems to be stable and happy both in the resort and the backcountry; folks are getting out and skiing everything.
This week we're starting what has become an annual patrol exchange with Mount Bachelor (a "sister" Powder Corp resort in Oregon). We have sent two of our crew to them for the week and 2 of their finest are headed our way. I had the pleasure of going there last year. An exchange is an excellent opportunity to learn another patrol's operation AND to show off our own. I was going to host the Bachelor boys at my house, but as I'm feeling a bit of the "crud" this morning, another patroller and his wife have offered them space in their lovely new home in Pine Meadows above town. With the load of new snow and forecasted sunny days, we should have a fine week to impress our guests with life here on the Wasatch Back.
