Happy (New Year) Numbers

New Year's Day is traditionally a time to look ahead toward the coming year, but here on the mountain we're looking back one last time on the great month of snow we enjoyed during December 2012. Here's a look at December by the numbers:
7 - Powder Alert emails sent during December
43 - days earlier that Jupiter Lift opened this season (Dec. 15) than last season (Jan. 27)
50 - percentage of last season's entire snowfall we've already received in the 2012-13 season through December
80 - inches of new snow that fell during December alone (over six and a half feet)

December was a GREAT start for the 2012-2013 season ... had powder to my mid-calf a few days. I think the Snow Dance ceremony really works!!!!
