It's Official. We Open Saturday.
— Posted by Andy on November 15, 2011
A lot of people work hard to get the Resort ready to provide the snow, terrain, adventures and service our guests have come to expect of Park City Mountain Resort. Team members across a number of departments including: snowmaking, grooming, mountain patrol, the ticket office, lift operations, ski and snowboard school, terrain parks, dining services, lift maintenance and our Alpine Coaster and Flying Eagle Zip Line (to name a few) have been working hard the last several weeks and months to get the mountain ready for a proper opening.
We're thrilled to announce we're ready to welcome the winter season with our Opening Day this Saturday, November 19.
Grooming and lift operations crews get PayDay lift's loading area ready on Tuesday, 11/15
We plan to have PayDay, First Time and 3 Kings lifts turning on Saturday, and runs scheduled to be open include: Homerun, Treasure Hollow, PayDay, Quicksilver, Lower 3 Kings, Turtle Trail and Silver Hollow plus the Resort’s new “Learner Zone.”
Opening Day festivities at the Resort kick off Saturday at 8am with free donuts and beverages in the Resort Plaza before the lifts crank up promptly at 9am. First Chairs at all open lifts will break a ceremonial tape to celebrate the season as they depart the loading terminals, and passengers on those First Chairs receive the ultimate bragging rights - a limited edition "First Chair 2011-2012" t-shirt. So come on out and get those turns you've been waiting for since May!
We couldn't be more excited to kick off winter, and on behalf of all those team members STILL working hard these last days before everything gets going - we can't wait to share the mountain with you this season.
