Opening Day Plans

The snow is here, the groomers are making their rounds and the lift line mazes are ready to get put in place. Just a few finishing touches before we turn the lifts on for Opening Day this Saturday!
Here's the plan for the big day: PayDay, First Time and 3 Kings lifts will begin turning promptly at 9 a.m Saturday. PayDay lift will service beginner and intermediate terrain on Homerun and Treasure Hollow runs. First Time will access beginner terrain on Turtle Trail. 3 Kings will access Quicksilver and Bunny Hollow with over 10 jibs and a jump.

But that's just the beginning: at noon, our friends with the Northern Ute Tribe perform a traditional snow blessing in the Resort Plaza. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend! After you've gotten your first runs of the season, local Park City band, Muddpuddle, plays an apres concert in the Plaza from 1-3 p.m. Feel like washing down your day with a bev outside with the band? We'll have a beer garden set up by the stage for you to unwind and celebrate the new season.
We've also got some perks for you early birds: free donuts, coffee and hot chocolate will be served in the Resort Plaza Opening Day morning, and the first chairs to depart each of the three running lifts can wear their pride all day with our limited edition "First Chair 2012-13" t-shirts.
We'll also have the Alpine Coaster and the Flying Eagle Zip Line running. Legacy Sports will be open and stocked with great new gear for the season; and Kristi's Coffee Cafe, Legacy Cafe, and Legends Bar & Grill will also be open to serve guests.
Need gear or want professional help brushing off the rust? Park City Mountain Rentals will be up and running, and all our ski and snowboard school services will be offered (with the exception of Ladies Club).
We've got our plans in place. All we need is you to come and celebrate another winter season with us!
Rain soaked and stoked for skiing on another opening day at PCMR, 36 of them now. The rain kept it to the die hards only and were happy the riding conditions were great. Wonderful to share another start of a great season. The resort employees kept it all safe and smooth as usual. Thanks PCMR.
