This season has been an incredible celebration of our Golden Anniversary. And as we've proven, 50 is the new awesome so if you think we're slowing down for spring you have another thing coming. In fact, this spring will be one of our biggest ever with a loaded schedule of events for après experts, families and fans of making soft turns in the sun.
Snowasis 2014, our annual mountain family celebration, opens with a Kickoff Carnival in the plaza March 22.
The Miller Lite Après Music Series has resumed through the rest of the season. Every Saturday from 3-5 p.m. a different band will perform a live show on the PayDay Deck with a beer garden serving a variety of brews. Local bands Lash Larue, Ugly Valley Boys and Sideshow Ramblers are among our featured acts. Guests of all ages are welcome!
On March 8, a day on the slopes turns into a day on the beach at the Corona Ski Beach. From 12-3 p.m., a bar & grill creates an on-snow après paradise next to PayDay Lift’s mid-station. Music by DJ Matty Mo and on-snow cornhole, badminton and other games will add to this atmosphere accessible to guests of any age.
We're also testing the true measure of this mountain town's mixologists when we host the inaugural Bartenders’ Cup on Tuesday, April 8. Area tapsters will mix drinks before racing them down the NASTAR slalom course on a tray. The best combination of time and minimum spillage earns bragging rights for the barkeep and their watering hole.
Ever wanted to meet one of our avalanche dogs up close? Your chance is coming this spring.
Then we bring back Snowasis, our annual spring family on-snow celebration, with an expanded 9-day schedule in 2014. Running March 21-30, Snowasis showcases a range of family-friendly on-snow activities including: carnival games, an avalanche dog meet ‘n greet, on-mountain scavenger hunts and more!
Looking to April, the Lib Tech Holy Bowly, an international snowboard gathering of creativity and flow, comes to the United States for the first time when we host it April 15-20. Previously held exclusively in Japan, this exhibition features many of the world’s best riders hitting a hand-shaped course inspired by the best shredding that skate bowls and surf waves have to offer.
Our spring celebration culminates with our traditional Easter celebration and on-mountain egg hunt on Easter Sunday, April 20. The Easter Bunny hosts a kids’ exclusive egg hunt in the Kids’ Korral, while hunters of all ages can scour the mountain for treat-filled eggs and the two prized Golden Eggs – each holding a 2014-15 season pass! April 20 is also the resort’s scheduled Closing Day, with a live Closing Day concert scheduled in the resort plaza.
Wow. That's a ton - good thing we're not quizzing you. But you'll still need to get ready for the best spring ski apres around. Keep up with everything going on this spring at our complete up-to-the-minute events calendar: http://www.parkcitymountain.com/site/activities-and-events/events/index.html
