Bert has been with the Park City Mountain Resort Mountain Patrol since 1991. He has worked his way up the ranks to become one of the Patrol Supervisors. Stella was rescued from a local animal shelter in the summer of 2008. She began her mountain orientation and basic training the winter of 2008 - 2009. Stella became a Level A certified avalanche dog with Wasatch Backcountry Rescue (WBR) during the 2010-2011 season.

The bond between a dog handler and their dog is truly special. Stella and I thought it would be interesting to query some of the other Park City Mountain Resort dog teams regarding what it means to them to be a dog team.
Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
