Is anyone wondering why the groomed runs on King Con have so many ridges? Those runs were track packed about 10 days ago and then groomed a day before we opened them. The oldest snow was rotten and we had some new snow on top of that. When the snowcats drive over the fresh snow they leave a space between the tracks that isn't run over and compacted. This raised area of snow, in comparison to the flattened snow under the tracks, will leave a small hump when it is groomed for the first time.
