Even though I
knew that today was going to be a nippy morning on the mountain and I still somehow managed to forget my neck gaiter at home. Not the smartest thing, but it didn't stop me from getting some great turns in and also getting my first ride on our brand new Crescent Lift.
Speaking of the Crescent Lift, today was the first day ever for our new lift. This is a photo of the first chair, and I mean FIRST CHAIR EVER! I can personally vouch that it's a great ride - smooth, quiet, beautiful view and fast. I wound up taking two runs down Crescent run too, check out this photo of RD cranking out some fast powder turns on skiers right - I don't how he managed to keep from freezing his face off even if he is from Montana!
After several more runs of great skiing, I decided that it would be wise to head down to spend some time with my family. Particularly as we need some time to prepare for this evening when we're heading over to the Town Lift Plaza to watch Santa come down in his Town Lift sleigh and get a picture with him. Santa will arrive at about 6:15pm, but there are plenty of other fun holiday activities, see the entire schedule below or visit our calendar of events page.
