So election day passed (finally!) and Mother Nature brought us our first real winter storm (finally!). At Summit Patrol we had a storm total of 20 inches at the snowstake and I just took a quick snowmobile ride to take some photos of snowmaking down here at the base. Although it was a bit bumpy, there was decent coverage but we still need quite a bit more snow to fill in the various drainage features and other big holes in the run.
Check out a bigger version of the photo I took on my little trip on our Photo of the Day page. Also, please use our submit form to send me your Park City photos and I'll post the best ones as a Photo of the Day!
still looking like the 22nd?
Eric replies:

My kid and his friends are hearing a rumor that PC is open this Saturday. Fact or fiction?
Eric replies:
Adaire, sorry to say but it's just a rumor. There needs to be several days worth of snowmaking on lower Homerun before we could even think of skiing on it. Believe me, I just drove up it on a 'bile and it's a got a lot of rock and dirt still showing.
