Winter is well on it's way to making a stormy arrival into Utah! This Saturday, November 15, Park City Mountain Resort, along with the entire group of Ski Utah member resorts, will be welcoming the winter season with the Fat Flake Festival from 4:30 - 10:00 pm at The Gallivan Center in SLC. If you are still longing for the dog days summer, this FREE event will surely get you psyched for winter. Be sure to stop by the Park City Mountain Resort booth for your chance to check out "I Ride Park City" and be one of the first to play the new Shaun White Snowboarding game on XBOX. If you're looking for a new pair of Rossi boots this winter be sure to arrive at 4:30 to sign up for the Ski Boot Race. Local athletes will be signing autographs from 5:00 - 9:00 in the Powder Lounge. Ski Utah, will also be offering up a Ceremonial Offering to the Snow Gods at 7:30, followed immediately by the Vintage Ski Outfit competition. This night will be full of crazy antics, and I haven't even gotten to the music portion of the event. Three bands will take the stage over the course of the night. Junior Giant will warm things up beginning at 5:15, Cavedoll will keep the crowd going from 7:00-7:30 and the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash take the main stage beginning at 7:45. Check out www.skiutah.com/fatflakefestival for the specific details! If you can't make it to the Fat Flake Festival, now is a great time to book your vacation for this winter season. The fat flakes will be around all season, make sure you get yours.
