It was awful chilly this morning so I waited until about 11am to head up to the mountain and boy was it ever worth it!
I thought that I'd get take some nice cruising runs with some bumpers to try to keep warm. But, once I got off Crescent Lift and saw Jupiter Peak looking as if it might be open, I quickly traversed to McConkey's Lift where I found that the "Pearly Gates" were indeed open. From there, I did a quick hike over to Pinyon Ridge where I got in some nice turns while scoping where the real goods were - Puma Bowl. Two laps of Pioneer to Jupiter to High West to Puma and I was a very happy camper - with the pics below to prove it (just Scotts and Pinecone to go!):
I just wanted to say thank you. We were at the Silverstar in Park City from 12/28-1/4. I was able to get the last 2 days in on Jupiter Peak although not fully open. It was great. A reminder why I love coming from Philadelphia to Utah to ski. Also, had my 3 and 4 yr old children in ski school for the first time. They need to improve it some but in 2 days my children went from the carpet to the lift....incredible. thank you again. Eric replies: Gregory, glad to hear you had a good time here in PC!

Andy has skied the Park City area for 20 years, and is excited to finally be a full-time PC resident and call Park City Mountain Resort his home mountain.
Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
