Geez, I almost feel bad posting this, but wow, once again it was an epic powder day up here at Park City Mountain Resort. Our snow safety team was very quick this morning and had Jupiter Peak open before 10am and all of Pinecone Ridge open not much later. The over three feet of snow that we've gotten in the past week made for some sweet turns, check them out in this gallery, and as always, please upload any photos that you may have from PCMR so that they can possibly be selected for our photo of the day!

its amazing how a week of hot weather can change the conditions rapidly. Hopefully we get some new snow Friday!!! Think Snow

in the future do you guys plan on lowering the cost for season passes to compete with the canyons? just wondering because i am sure that you're aware they offer passes for as low as $350 and boast about twice as much terrain....?
i bet the cost is going up by the second with the snow guns on in feburary?

Thecoloradokid, we review pass and ticket pricing every season and this year is no different, look for our 09-10 rates to be out mid-summer.

This if the first I have heard of the single day racing, so I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the info.

If those three runs are permanently closed to the public, shouldn't you be advertising that you have 104 runs rather than 107?

SH, the race runs are open to the public, it's just that they're designated for racing, you can sign up for a single day of training online here: http://www.parkcitymountain.com/winter/school/special_programs/Local_Adult_Programs/index.html

I have been skiing at PCMR for six years as a pass holder and have never seen Picabos, CBs or Commitment runs open to the public. Are these runs ever open, even if it is on the last hour of the last day?
Eric replies:
David, the Eagle Race Arena runs are dedicated to racing and race training which take place throughout the day, including early morning and evening/night. Trying to open them to the general public presents a number of logistical issues, in particular as there are so many different groups that share the space.
