Saturday morning dawned cold, but with crystal clear skies that led into a perfect day for the first ever World Cup halfpipe competition to be held in North America. The Eagle Superpipe was immaculately groomed and kept up it's reputation as one of the best pipes in the world with both athletes and coaches raving about it. In the Ladies' competition, American Angeli VanLaanen, took home the first place prize with an amazing 2nd run that moved up up past all her competitors to the top of the podium. While, in the Men's competition, France's Kevin Rolland impressed with a variety of high-flying technical tricks including a double back-flip!

Andy has skied the Park City area for 20 years, and is excited to finally be a full-time PC resident and call Park City Mountain Resort his home mountain.
Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
