*We will keep the blog updated on up-to-date terrain openings.
Is there any chance that we'll see any of the runs into town opening soon? We're staying right at the town lift and will be sad if we can't board to our door...
Krista replies:
The Town runs need a lot of man-made snow around the bottom to last us through the end of the season. We hope to start making snow there very soon. In the meantime you can upload/download the Town Lift.

No meanness intended. Our family loves PCMR and gets season passes every year even though Snowbasin is half the distance from our house. Just trying to figure out what was going on with almost no advanced runs open until now.. The runs that have been open have been in great shape and I have stated so in previous posts. Sorry if you or any other bloggers misinterpreted my intentions.
Krista replies:
Thanks for choosing Park City Mountain Resort. I did not take any offense to your comment. I can certainly understand the frustration of our delayed ability to get new terrain open. It has been snowing like mad here all day (expecting at least a foot over night) and our guys are working hard to get more terrain open tomorrow. See you on the mountain!

Will park city extend the date for the use of the habitat for humanity lift tickets?
Krista replies:
We will not extend the date to use the Benefit Day tickets. The tickets have been valid for the last month, which is much longer than what we have ever done in our previous six Benefit Days. Through this fundraising effort we were able to support the Habitat For Humanity with $50,000. Thanks for your part!

Thanks for the updates. We really appreciate them, and the work of your ops team.
We keep thinking big snow here in Jersey to help the cause. Kids are doing snow dances each night before bed!
See you Wednesday.
Krista replies:
Thank your kids for doing their snow dances jersey_guy. We'll see you next week!

Thank you so much for your updates and let me just speak for most people when I say that we appreciate the hard work the PCMR team puts in to get the mountain up and running in what has been a less than favorable start to the season. It must be hard to respond to some of these unfounded angry comments, especially when none of you have any control over mother nature, but I for one appreciate the blog team's unwavering dedication to the mountain and to keeping us informed. Bravo, and bring on the snow. I'm arriving in 5 days and I can't wait!
Thanks again guys!!
Krista replies:
Thank you for following our blog AR snow. We are doing our best to get the information out as quickly as possible. See you here next week!

Your previous blogs have said there wasn't enough snow to open more runs, and now you are advertising BIG SNOW (with no storms) and opening lots of runs for the holiday. Is that just the way it happened to work out? I feel sorry for the early arrivers and us locals having missed out on some potentially great early skiing (like you got in on the video several blogs ago.)
Krista replies:
Dave we open terrain as quickly as we can. With over a foot of snow and high winds the last two days our snow safety team has had to work overtime to ensure the runs we open are safe. As was mentioned in the video blog post, some of the runs had decent snow but we did not have enough to connect them with the lift (Thaynes lift did not have any snow at the base, we had to move snow guns there to get it open for today). We hope you get up and enjoy the new terrain.

Keep the park off Joneseys. That park has ruined the run.
Krista replies:
If you like Jonesy's Mack Marks, you'll really like the new Mid-Mountain Meadows run. It has a great pitch and fall-line. Check it out.

how big will the jumps be??? stoked for all the openings!!!
Krista replies:
We are not sure what size the jumps will be until our park crew starts the build. We will keep you updated as we know. You can also check out the Ride Park City blog for more up-to-date info.

It says that Upper Jonesey will be opening hopefully on Saturday..will that just be the run or will it be the park?
Krista replies:
Jonesy's will not be a park, it will be a run. Pick 'N Shovel will be the medium/big terrain park until we get Jonesy's open.
