Mother Nature helped us welcome the start of the 2010-2011 winter season today with energetic skiers and snowboarders, diverse terrain and natural snowfall! Guests camped out overnight at PayDay, First Time and Three Kings lifts to receive the coveted "First Chair" t-shirts, as well as the bragging rights that go along with riding the first chair. The three lifts serviced five runs, including the early season terrain park with 16 jib features and a 25-foot jump. According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm warning is in effect until Wednesday, November 24, with up to three feet of snow expected.
Check out what the crowd had to say about Opening Day.
When are you opening more lifts and terrain? Krista replies: Thanks for your comment. Hopefully you were able to get up and enjoy the additional terrain this weekend. We are working hard to get more of the mountain open. Enjoy!

With at least another snow in the forecast by Wednesday, are there plans to open some of the upper mountain by Friday? We would love to be able to ski in park city Friday when the weather should be nice with lots of fresh snow! Krista replies: Hi Patrick, I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner. Hopefully you were able to get up and enjoy all of the open terrain!

Andy has skied the Park City area for 20 years, and is excited to finally be a full-time PC resident and call Park City Mountain Resort his home mountain.
Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
