The Waiting Game is Over!

I am happy to announce that we will indeed open for the 2007-08 season on Friday, November 23. PayDay Lift will open at 9 am and will service Homerun (yes, it's just one run but at least we're open). We
certainly have to thank our hard working snowmaking and grooming team for making it happen. This photo was shot this afternoon, it reminded me of the scene in Top Gun when the crew is walking across the runway from their "Mission"...only our snowmakers mission includes frigid cold temps and a lot of white stuff. Don't they look like they enjoy their jobs!
It really is because of our slope maintenance team that we can open. Utah is famous for the "Greatest Snow on Earth", however when a dry spell hits you must rely on snowmaking. Solitude Resort is the only other resort in Utah that will be open. Fortunately for us, we have one of the best snowmaking operations in the state, which allows us to open even in a low precipitation year. That said, it is early and the snow will come because this is Utah and we do have the "Greatest Snow on Earth!"
I know I have been waiting six months to get back on the sticks, as I am sure you have too. We'll see you on the slope! Happy Thanksgiving. -KRP

how long do you think this snow will keep ....will there be a lot more snow goin to b made in the next month

Zach, I hope this snow stays through April, seriously though, we're going to keep making snow as conditions permit. Right now we're finishing up on Homerun, Payday and First Time runs and planing to move to upper Homerun next.

Do you guys have any predictions on how long lines will be for the lift?

Jon, I honestly have no idea what lines will be like, but PayDay is a detachable six-person chair, so it's uphill capacity is something like 3,000 people an hour!
