There's nothing worse than working up a huge appetite on the mountain, only to be greeted with greasy food options at the resort lodge. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a huge plate of fish and chips as much as the next girl, but sometimes I want to feel good about what I put in my body and save some of calories I've burned on the mountain. Lucky for me, Park City Mountain Resort has the most extensive salad bar I've ever seen at a resort. Legacy Cafe, located on the 2nd floor of the base area's Legacy Lodge, has a huge Salad Bar that will satisfy even the pickiest of eater.
Every day you will find a spinach salad, spring mix and ceaser salad to begin your adventure. This is graced by a fruit salad and a few vegetable salads to compliment your greens. Next you can choose from 6 different dressings, always including non-fat options. Here comes the fun part. Our Chef prepares 4 composed salads daily. Some of my favorites are the Chicken & Vegetable Salad, Oriental Salad, Salmon Cous-Cous and Pasta Salad. This is followed by a grand Cheese Display and Antipasto Display. Fresh goat cheese and roasted bell peppers are my favorite! Hummus is prepared daily accompanied with pita chips or you can choose from the assorted breads baked daily.
We're not done yet. If you are still craving more, there are 6 types of Homemade Soup, including a Gluten Free option. The soups include chicken noodle, clam chowder, tomato bisque, potato cheddar, white bean and ham and the chilli alternates between vegi and bison. You can choose to put your soup in a bread bowl or the old fashioned way. Or you can visit the Baked Potato Bar!
Coming from someone who eats at the resort's offerings at least 4 times a week, Legacy Cafe's Salad Bar is my absolute favorite! You can pile your plate as high as you want, all for a great price.
