Many people have been asking how they can help out residents of Vermont and New Hampshire who have been affected by the flooding. Hurricane Irene brought historic flooding upon people very similar to us in Park City. Residents of mountain towns and even our sister resorts Killington and Pico Mountain have a lot of work ahead of them to fix the damage.
Killington Resort's blog has been posting updates on the status of the damages and restoration efforts underway. Roads leading in and out of the region are still closed, a few of their lodging properties and buildings have sustained water damage, however very little damage was done above 2500 feet. As of now, Killington plans to open for the 2011-12 winter season on schedule.

Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
