Candy Erickson

Candy EricksonOur long time snow reporter, Candy Erickson, died peacefully at home on Thursday, due to complications of colon cancer.

When her younger son was a baby, waking her up at 5 a.m. every morning, Candy decided she should put that time to use! At the time, Park City Mountain Resort was hiring a snow reporter and from that point forward Candy could be heard five mornings a week on KPCW. For 22 seasons, she was committed to letting people know the snow conditions at PCMR! Candy’s dedication to Park City Mountain Resort continued even as she battled cancer. She will be greatly missed.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Candy Erickson Endowment for the Betterment of Park City at the Park City Community Foundation.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, April 3 at 1 p.m. at the Eccles Center.
