Another great honor has been bestowed on one of our very own Park City
Mountain Resort Team Members as Jim Steinmetz was named Rocky Mountain
Lift Association's (RMLA) Lift Maintenance Person of the Year!

Jim has been a very integral part of Park City Mountain resort and its success for many, many years. Jim truly has an Engineer’s understanding of materials, tolerances and designs in addition to knowing the feel, sounds, the fit and look of a master mechanic’s knowledge. Jim is always the first one called when an issue arises or can easily devise plans needed for each situation. Jim’s experience and knowledge is second to none.

Congratulations Jim on this achievement and for being chosen as the 2010-2011 Recipient of RMLA’s Lift Maintenance Person of the Year and again, thank you for the 37 years of continued service to Park City Mountain Resort. You are very deserving of this award and we are very proud you are part of the PCMR Team!

Way to go Jim!
Question: On crescent lift towers, the grate on the walkways above the cable wheels is wavy, not flat, like the others; what's with that? Also, do trees (dead or alive) ever get blown onto the lift cable? That big tree that went over on Courcheval in January got me thinking? Good year at PCMR! Keep providing the fun times!
