The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association today announced the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix, originally scheduled to be held December 21-22 in our Eagle Superpipe, will be rescheduled to February 1-2, 2013.

The Grand Prix includes International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup competitions for both halfpipe skiing and snowboarding, and is an Olympic Halfpipe qualifying event for the 2014 Winter Games in both disciplines. Given the high profile of the event, and the high standards Park City Mountain Resort holds its halfpipe competitions to, FIS and USSA decided the best way to ensure the highest-quality halfpipe for competing athletes was to move it to February.

Under the new schedule, the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix events at Park City Mountain Resort will be held during the day on Feb 1-2, while the Visa Freestyle International will feature night events at Deer Valley the same weekend.
