Park City Mountain Resort Now Open for 2011-2012 as First Chairs Depart
- Park City Mountain Resort opens with 6 new inches of snow overnight
- 3 lifts, 8 runs, 20 terrain park features and 1 jump open on Opening Day 2011
- Ted Ligety, Tanner Hall, Torah Bright, Tom Wallisch and others among those enjoying Opening Day on the mountain
Park City, Utah (November 19, 2011) – The 2011-2012 season kicked off Saturday, November 19 at Park City Mountain Resort as First Chairs departed PayDay, First Time and 3 Kings lifts at exactly 9 a.m. MST.
Six inches of Utah powder fell Friday night, making an already festive day even more exciting Three lifts, eight runs, 20 terrain park features and one jump were all available on the first day of the season – making for one of the Resort’s biggest Opening Days in years.
Lift lines were populated well in advance, with the earliest guests staking their spots at 3 Kings lift 22 hours before lifts started running. Olympic gold medalist, and Park City native, Ted Ligety had his spot in line when PayDay lift began running and PC All Stars Tanner Hall, Tom Wallisch, Sage Kotsenburg, Joss Christensen, Aaron Bittner, Erin Comstock and Torah Bright were also on the snow for a successful season kick-off at Park City Mountain Resort.

Andy
Andy has skied the Park City area for 20 years, and is excited to finally be a full-time PC resident and call Park City Mountain Resort his home mountain.

Brent is the director of mountain operations. He is a long-timer at the Resort, this is his 33rd season.
Bert & Stella
Bert has been with the Park City Mountain Resort Mountain Patrol since 1991.
Travis
Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
Jon
Jon is a Kids Ski & Snowboard School supervisor and trainer.
