With these recent temperature drops we've been seeing up here in Park City, we're becoming aware of just how quickly winter is approaching. (Yay!) However, with these cold temperatures, a portion of Utah's population is facing a great need for warm clothing to make it through.
Enter Ski Utah.
This year, Ski Utah, along with the 14 ski resorts in Utah, is hosting its first annual Suit up for Snow coat drive, asking for you, the avid skiers and riders of this great state, to donate your clean, gently used coats and jackets of all sizes. These jackets will be distributed to the non-profit organizations The First Chair and The Road Home. The First Chair helps children from low-income households access learn-to-ski or ride programs, while The Road Home provides basic needs like food, clothing and shelter and providing resources to help integrate families back into the community.
We are incredibly excited to participate in this coat drive, and thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to our communities. The Park City Mountain Resort drop box is in our Resort Services Office, and it's patiently waiting on you to drop off some jackets before November 1. So when you're here taking a new photo for your season pass, be sure to drop one off.
And as a coat donor, you will be entered to win some AWESOME prizes: a Ski Utah Yeti Pass, Rossignol skis or snowboard, and gear from Smith Optics, Dakine and Hot Chillys. Just fill out one of the entry forms and drop it in the box next to the jacket collection box. One entry for each coat you donate.
For more information on the drive, visit Ski Utah's website.
