Today, the U.S. Ski Team kicks off its historic 50th anniversary season with the official naming of the 2013 U.S. Alpine Team. Included on the roster, once again, is Park City native Ted Ligety. We couldn't be prouder of Ted, who was raised skiing the slopes of Park City Mountain Resort before growing up to become an Olympic champion.
Naturally, Ted is never one to waste time. So it shouldn't surprise you to hear that he already has a win under his belt on this new season; winning the Giant Slalom in Soelden, Austria by the widest margin in over 30 years!
We did what many still haven't: caught up with Ted, and talked to him about how growing up here at the Resort has impacted his professional career now, and why he still enjoys skiing here during his free time from the race circuit.
Andy has skied the Park City area for 20 years, and is excited to finally be a full-time PC resident and call Park City Mountain Resort his home mountain.
Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
