Wishing Good Luck to Our Own Awesome, Superblogging, Inspiring Paralympian

Faithful blog readers may have caught a few posts from this season's guest blogger: Nicole Roundy.

Roundy introduced herself on the Blog back in November as "the superpower blogger" - and we're inclined to agree. Roundy lost her right leg in an above-the-knee amputation nearly 20 years ago as a part of bone cancer treatment. But that didn't keep her from falling in love with snowboarding when she was 18 years old - and eventually shredding professionally. Today, Roundy works in Park City and is a fixture on our own slopes.

Her journey is about to take its next step as she prepares to represent the United States in Sochi at the Paralympic debut of her specialty, snowboard cross. When she competes March 13, Roundy will celebrate her latest in a long list of triumphs - fighting with her fellow boardercross athletes to get their sport added to the Paralympic roster this year. But by now we know she's not the kind of girl who takes NO for an answer. So we were thrilled to help support her Paralympic journey by providing her a brand new prosthetic to race on this season.

Good luck, Roundy! Here's to all the Paralympians preparing to compete in Sochi - we know you'll understand if we root for one in particular.
