We are making some changes to our DOR (Daily Operations Report) to reflect the status of lifts and bowls.

Powder days like today are what we live for. It's the reason people move to the mountains, the reason vacationers return to Utah year after year and the reason why we love to work and play on the mountain.

The forecasters were wrong again! Wednesday night they called for 3-4 inches, but we awoke to over 8 inches of fresh snow at Park City Mountain Resort.

I awoke to the sweet sound of avalanche bombing this morning and immediately thought to myself, "What the heck!" The weather forecast only called for 1-4 inches of new snow overnight.

Everyone Park City local knows that Sundance is a great time to steer clear of the streets and get out on the mountain.

Park City Mountain Resort’s Eagle Superpipe opened today, Friday, January 7, 2011.

Park City local, Ted Ligety, coming off three GS World Cup race victories, had a chance to enjoy some of the five plus feet of snow received at Park City Mountain Resort the last four days.

While the powder that this storm has brought has been nothing short of Christmas miracle, it has also brought along its share of problems. Jupiter will be closed tomorrow due to a power outage.

We are happy to announce the additional terrain openings of Eagle, King Con and Silver Star lifts as well as having all mountain dining open.

Thanks to amazing early season snowfall and perfect snowmaking temperatures, Park City Mountain Resort has the most November terrain open since the snowy November of 2004.

I was lucky to 'escape the office' for an hour or so this morning to get up to Jupiter Peak for, what I think, was the best powder skiing of the season.

It's sad but true, Park City Mountain Resort is closing in one month.

I ran the numbers for the cycle and from January 18 to 28 we picked up 79 inches in Jupiter and 60 at the Summit.
