Early tomorrow morning, Andy VanHouten and his 2 year old yellow lab Zeke will board a flight for Switzerland to participate in the avalanche dog training program that sets the standard for most Avalanche Search and Rescue Teams around the world.

On Friday evenings we, the patrol, gather at our local pub for some end of week decompression. As part of this "safety meeting" we have a tradition of presenting one patroller with the Bad Judgment Award, otherwise known as the Stick of Dumb.
Andy has skied the Park City area for 20 years, and is excited to finally be a full-time PC resident and call Park City Mountain Resort his home mountain.
Originally from the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, Travis found his way to Park City three years ago and is now our grooming manager. When not in snowcat you can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the Utah backcountry or enjoying the skiing here at Park City Mountain Resort.
