Legends Bar & Grill
In need of a warm-up after a day on the slopes? Park City has a flurry of friendly pubs and cozy cafes where the hot drinks will leave you in good spirits. Here are a few apres-ski favorites, where the kids can have a hot chocolate and the adults are in for a treat as well.
Apres ski doesn't get any easier than stopping at Legends Bar & Grill, at the base of Park City Mountain Resort. There's a cozy vibe here and a great selection of specialty coffees and hot chocolates. Feel like drinking your dessert? Order their most popular hot beverage— Hot Butterscotch Cocoa. Flavored with butterscotch schnapps and bay leaves, this is not your mama's hot chocolate, think of it instead as liquid gold.
Another Park City apres-ski favorite is High West Distillery and Saloon. Not only is there a great Old West ambience and outdoor firepit, but it couldn't be easier to get to. High West likes to point out they're the world's only ski-in restaurant and distillery. I'll drink to that! Just 1 block off of Main Street, at the bottom of Quittin' Time ski run, next to the town lift, you can leave your skis at the rack or the ski check.
Embrace your inner cowboy in this western saloon by ordering a son of cider, their most popular hot drink. It's an apple cider with a shot of their own homemade bourye whiskey. That should hit the spot after an action-packed day on the mountain.
The perfect drink is important, but the perfect setting is also a necessary ingredient. A 10 minute drive from Park City Mountain resort, the Troll Hallen Lounge in Park City's Stein Eriksen Lodge has perfected the apres-ski recipe with a roaring fireplace, magnificent mountain views and their cappuccino cocktail, spiked with Kahlua.
Not up for taking the whole gang out after a long day on the slopes? Here are a few easy recipes to take the chill off. Just sit down in front of your own fireplace, step into your own jacuzzi, or kick back on the couch and enjoy! Cheers!
