A great way for a family to save money, have more space than a hotel room, and enjoy the amenities of home, is to rent a condo. A less expensive way is to go through the owner of the condo. Do be sure to note details in the photos on the sites, though. If simple and inexpensive "accessories" are dated, and furnishings look like they are "30 years old", the price may be low but you will be unhappy. Look for condos that show that the owner has put time and money into it for a more comfortable place to stay. Further, make sure a professional cleaning service is hired to prep the property. And, still further, ask if there is a local contact in case of emergencies.
