Top 3 Must Do Events in Park City During the Holidays
There’s something magical about the Christmas season in Park City. These family friendly, can’t miss events are part of the reason:
December 17 – Santa Comes down the Town Lift
Watch Santa and his reindeer make their dramatic entrance down Town Lift to Park City Mountain Resort's Town Lift Plaza. The festivities start at 5:00 with cocoa and cookies, with Christmas carols. Santa arrives at 6:15 and will be available for photos and to hear Christmas wishes from kids of all ages.
December 21 - Annual Winter Solstice Light Parade on Main Street
Celebrate the shortest day of the year with Park City’s fun twist on the Christmas light show. Instead of you and your family driving around to see the local Christmas light displays, the displays literally drive to you. Cars, trucks, even bicycles are decorated and lit up for a parade along Main Street. The oos and awes begin at 6pm when the parade leaves City Park and proceeds up Park Avenue to Main Street. Bring your radio, KPCW will be broadcasting holiday music simultaneously for your enjoyment.

December 24 - Traditional Torchlight Parade and Christmas Eve Celebration
Spend the 24th on the slopes at Park City Mountain Resort and see if you can spot Santa skiing as he relaxes before his big night. After sunset make your way to the Resort Plaza and warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. Then watch Santa leading more than 100 ski and snowboard instructors down the PayDay run at 6:15 for the 48th Annual Traditional Torchlight Parade. Afterward, catch up with St. Nick for photos and last minute requests before he heads out for his big night.
