Childcare in Park City
Let's face it, planning a family ski vacation is lots of hard work. Especially when you have three children ages 5 & under, like I do.
Sure, you're hoping to plan one of the best family winter vacations ever, something your family will remember and talk about for years to come. But it's YOUR winter vacation too. I am a HUGE advocate of skiing & snowboarding WITH your kids - you know what they say... the family that rides together, stays together.
But, I also think it's important to get a little "me" or even "couple" time, out on the mountain. That's why I'm also a HUGE advocate of ski & snowboard school. Trust me, and I'm speaking from experience, teaching your own kids how to ride is never a fun experience - for anyone involved. But, you probably already know all this. The real question is what do you do with your littlest ones? Those kids who are under 3 1/2 years old, or just aren't quite ready to attend ski & snowboard school? What are your Park City Childcare Options?
Surprisingly, there are lots of options when it comes to childcare - that don't involve asking a friend of your neighbor's cousin's niece's best friend from college. When it came time to find childcare for my 18 month-old, after lots of recommendations by the Snowmamas & Snowpapas Advisory Council as well as suggestions from friends & family, I turned to the Kids Clubhouse.
Located just off the 180 (inside the Newpark Town Center), the Kids Clubhouse is quick & easy access if you are staying in Salt Lake, or anywhere by the freeway. Unfortunately, if you are staying near Main Street, Park City you'll have to drive about 13 minutes (each way).
I have to admit, leaving my baby with complete strangers was a little nerve-wracking for me - I'm a pretty hands-on parent. But after a long conversation with the center, not to mention the multiple recommendations I had already received, I was pretty confident I had made an excellent choice.
After arriving at the Kids Clubhouse, I KNEW I had made the right choice. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful (immediately putting me at ease), the facilities were clean and filled with toys and activities for children of all ages. At the end of each day of our "stay," I received a "report card" which noted when she ate and slept, which was great. But the clincher was my daughter's reaction. When I came to pick her up at the end of the day, my 18-month-old "mama's girl" actually started to cry when she realized I had come to pick her up.
The Kids Clubhouse is located at 1476 Newpark Blvd #220, Park City, UT 84060, (435)940-1607. For more information visit their website HERE.
