Check out Snowmamas Barb and Chara hot drink in hand at Kristi’s in the Legacy Lodge at Park City Mountain Resort
There’s no better ending to a perfect family ski day than a cup of hot chocolate. In fact, just the promise of this sweet treat can keep kids motivated during a chilly day on the mountain. Certainly you can get hot chocolate at Park City Mountain Resort (a yummy cup by the fireplace at Kristi’s in the Legacy Lodge is a Snowmama favorite). But there are some spectacular cups waiting for you around town that are worth the trip:
Bumps & Grinds
Located on the mid-plaza level at the base of PCMR, Bumps & Grinds is a bustling and eclectic beverage shack that mixes humor with every cup of hot chocolate served. Owned and operated by Park City locals, Bumps & Grinds offers a unique menu of hot chocolate concoctions all made to order with Ghiradelli chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Parents can indulge in a beverage from Bumps & Grinds extensive menu featuring the Thin Mint Latte (served by an ex-Girl Scout) and the McMonkey’s Mocha - deemed groomer’s choice. Ttry a cup of Silver Bean Coffee - created by local two-time Olympic freestyle medalist Shannon Bahrke.
Sugar Buzz
Located across the street from Town Lift Plaza, Sugar Buzz is home to all things sweet. Classic candy jars line the walls of this cute mining cottage. Head to the back of the shop to indulge in a cup of MarieBelle™ Aztec Hot Chocolate topped with a decadent Plush Puff gourmet marshmallow. Sugar Buzz also has a full espresso bar featuring Italy’s famous Illy espresso, plus a variety of smoothies, soda, Italian sodas, Italian creamsicles, and a selection of specialty teas.
Atticus Books and Tea House
Step across Park City’s Main Street and step back in time to Atticus Books and Tea House. Named to honor To Kill A Mockinbird’s Atticus Finch, Atticus Books and Teas serves up some of the yummiest, and organic varieties of hot chocolate, teas and even a delectable cup of Peppermint Creme. Don’t miss their take on frozen hot chocolate. New and used books line the walls of the cafe and there’s even a cozy reading corner for a ski-break story time with your toddler.
Alpine Internet Coffee House
Located in the Kimball Art Center, just around the corner from the Town Lift Plaza, you can have hot chocolate, coffee or cruise the internet at the Alpine Internet Coffehouse. The fun, funky and laid back local vibe provides the perfect setting to unwind apres ski with the family. After sipping, take stroll though the Kimball Art Center’s main gallery.
See you there!

Didn't know Sugar Buzz did hot chocolate. Took the fiance on a suprise bus ride and grabbed a cup of the hot chocolate. It was heavenly. The staff had not heard about the recomendation. Thanks snowmamas for the suggestion. Now will hit the other four over the next week.
