We started making memories on our way from Salt Lake City International Airport. We stopped at the Kimball Junction / Park City Visitor's Information Center that’s located off of exit 145 on I-80 and UT-224, just 6 miles from Main Street, Park City. Our family will always remember this small building as the place four-year-old Sarina, took her first few steps in real snow! She won’t forget her first icicle encounter either.
Sarina's enjoying a warm cup of cocoa complements of the Visitor's Information Center. She could not resist walking in any patch of snow she could find...even in the parking lot!
Once we stepped inside, we were greeted by the warm glow of a fireplace, the fresh aroma of hot cider and a friendly local who told us all about the family friendly activities in and around Park City. She offered us hot cider, hot chocolate and tasty biscuits while giving us an historical overview of the town and loading us up with informative brochures. Our favorites were The Park Record Winter Guide, the Official Guest Services Guide, a Winter Vacation Planner and a Best Deals Coupon Book.
Utah Olympic Park in the distance.
She even printed out the program and training activities guide for the nearby Utah Olympic Park. We quickly were armed with enough information and ideas to keep us busy for weeks. With so much to do, we’d never want to leave Park City. Maybe that was her plan all along? Give that lady a raise! We're hooked!
