It is lunchtime and everyone is starving after spending the morning on the mountain.  Follow those in the know, to the second floor of Legacy Lodge to the Legacy Café.

Drop off your skis, poles and boards at the free ski valet and march on in wearing your ski boots.  Inside, you will find a wide variety of menu options guaranteed to please even the pickiest eater.  

The cafeteria serves up pizza, a fantastic salad bar, hot daily specials, pasta dishes, standard grilled foods, made-to-order sandwiches and my personal favorite, the bison chili, one of six homemade daily soup choices.  The lunchtime menu offerings are so extensive (I might have forgotten to mention a few) that you’ll have a hard time choosing which freshly prepared dish to choose.

Whatever you eat, you’ll be refueled for your next run down the slopes.  Fountain drinks, complimentary glasses for water and bottled beverages are available--including local beers.

Perhaps, you'll see a Snowmama or two while at the Legacy Cafe.

Gather your food on a tray and pay at the cashier stations. There are seating areas on two floors and the most popular tables are those near the fireplace or large picture windows overlooking the Payday lift.  My advice: Have someone save a table as you go get your grub because it can get busy during peak hours.

Oh, and give the bison chili a try. It’s delish!
