We're using up our leftover holiday candy canes to make a few fun sweet treats. Here are some ideas for all those extra candy canes laying around! Be sure to check-out the photo gallery for pictures below.
- Peppermint Hot Chocolate: add some crushed candy canes to your whipped cream and it's ready for some piping hot chocolate!
- Chocolate Dipped Candy Canes: Dip your candy canes into melted chocolate and let them harden. Now they are ready for stirring into hot chocolate. Yum!
- Candy Cane Letters: Create cooky letters out of candy canes by baking them in the oven. Place your candy canes on a baking sheet and bake them in a 250 degree oven for 10 minutes. Once out of the oven, careful as they are hot, shape them into letters before they cool. They are movable for a minute or two. You can put them back into the oven if you need to reshape them again.
What fun things are you making with candy canes?
