My son tried snowboarding at age 12 and age 15. Both times he returned to skiing after one day of lessons. He found snowboarding to be incredibly hard and was ready to spend time on the mountain (going fast, of course). He has been on skis each year since. But this year, guess what, he wants to try snowboarding again. This year the first day's lesson is on his nickel.
