There's a Park City Mountain Resort app for that
Many have asked, but now it's here - introducing our new mobile app!
Park City Mountain Resort app start screen
At Park City Mountain Resort we're always looking for new ways to improve the experience of our guests and our new mobile app for iOS and Android mobile devices does just that. Our app allows you to:
- Plan: using our unique MyMountainPlanner personal mountain tours and real-time conditions
- Track: record live statistics including number of runs, total vertical, maximum speed and distance traveled
- Share: share on-mountain stats, photos and status updates from the Resort with your social network through Facebook and Twitter integration
- Reload: add additional days of mountain acceess to your lift ticket
You will find lots of great functionality in the app and we are thrilled that users who have a Park City Mountain Resort eStore account with an attached RFID (Radio Frequency Identificaiton) lift ticket can add additional ski days to their ticket directly via the app. This feature breaks new ground for ski resort app ecommerce and was made possible by the installation of RFID access gates at all lower mountain entry lifts as well as the conversion of all ticket and pass media to include RFID antenna. Learn more about our access gates and cards.
We developed and tested our app in conjunction with our ticketing software partner RTP, and it is a project that will continue to evolve in the coming months and we hope will eventually expand into summer information.
To begin, you must be sure that you have created an account on our eStore and linked any tickets or passes to your account. Then click or scan the images below to install the appropriate app for your mobile device:

Any chance you guys could supply your app to Amazon? I'd love to put it on my Kindle Fire

Mark,
I'll have to check w/our devs on that. I imagine our Android version should work, but I'm not sure how technical that winds up being. I'll definitely pass your suggestion along, thanks!

The PCMR app works great! I am able to check up to date conditions before leaving for the mountain. One question: The # days and scans got reset last week and now shows only 4 days. Should be around 24 days. Any idea?

Glad to hear that you're enjoying our app Bob! We applied a patch to our point of sale software last week an this seems to have impacted the days/scans function of the app. We are working with them to resolve this issue as soon as possible (we work with them on our app as well) and apologize for the inconvenience.

I downloaded the app for iOS and was able to put all of my information in and login to my user account, but it doesn't recognize my season pass. Says "We could not find a purchases pass product." Any ideas?

Could be that you have a duplicate account. Please call our Resort Services Office at 1-800-227-2754 and they can look into that.

Heading out there soon, and wondering... Will the "mountain planner" only recommend runs that are open?
Comment posted by Eric on January 23, 2012 1:04 PM MST
David,
We've contemplated creating tours with only "open" runs and it's becomes difficult to create good quality tour options across all ability levels as some tours may wind up with the same runs each time depending on how much of the mountain is open, in particular in early season. Good thing is that most of the mountain is now open, see you on the slopes!

I tried to add my RFID number to my account but it was purchased under my husbands account and tells me I can't add it to mine because it is being used by another account. Any suggestions?

Hi Randi,
As your pass is under your husband's account, you'll need to call our Resort Services Office at 1-800-227-2754 for help. Sorry we can't do it online at this point.

Comment posted by Eric on January 5, 2012 12:31 PM MST
Hi Ann,
There is a number on the side of your pass which is 20 digits between two dashes, input those 20 numbers (between the dashes) for your pass RFID number.
Enjoy!
