Mountain Biking at Canyons Village

With over 20 miles of cross-country trails throughout the resort, bikers of all levels can access trails atop the Red Pine Gondola.  Load your bike on the Red Pine Gondola and take trails such as the Mid-Mountain Trail, Ambush, Rob's, Colin's or Rosebuds Heaven as you ride downhill back to the Resort Village area or continue your adventure within the Wasatch mountains. 

You will be asked to fill out a waiver upon arrival, save time and fill it out ahead of time.  Bring it to the ticket window when you arrive. 
 *This is especially important for minors arriving without parents.*

Mountain bike rentals are available at Legacy Sports or Breeze Rentals in the Pack City Base Area and Canyon Mountain Rentals in Canyons Village.

Or ride Park City Bike Park at Canyons Village with different skill level trails with a variety of features and is serviced by the High Meadow and Short Cut lifts.

Bike Park Safety

BIKE PARK SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Helmets are MANDATORY! Other protective gear is strongly recommended.
  • Bike Park terrain may contain jumps, hits, banks, halfpipes, quarterpipes, berms, rollers,
    wall rides, drops, technical terrain features (TTF’s), stunts and other constructed or natural.
  • PRIOR to using the Bike Park terrain, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with Bike
    Park terrain and obeying all instructions, warnings and signs.
    Mountain biking skills require maintaining control on the ground and in the air.
  • Located in the Resort Village, Canyon Mountain Rentals offers a selection of the latest XC and downhill mountain bikes from Cannondate and GT, along with all the protective gear you need to take on the trails. Call (435) 615-3411 for more information.

Smart Style Terrain Features

  • Make a plan. Every time you ride Bike Park Terrain, make a plan for each feature you want to use. Your speed, approach and take off will directly affect your maneuvers and landing.
  • Look before you leap. Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know landings are clear and remove yourself out of landing areas.
  • Easy style it. Start small and work your way up. Do not attempt any features unless you have sufficient ability and skill to do so safely. Always ride in control and within your ability.
  • Respect gets respect. From the lift line through the Bike Park Terrain.

USE OF BIKE PARK TERRAIN EXPOSES YOU TO THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.YOU ASSUME THE RISK.
You must sign a 2016 Summer Activity Waiver - you can print and have this signed ahead of time.

BIKE PARK RESPONSIBILITY CODE

  1. Stay in control at all times. It is your responsibility to avoid other persons and objects around you.
  2. Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
  3. When entering a trail or starting downhill, you must look uphill and yield to others.
  4. Keep off closed areas and obey all signs and warnings.
  5. Stay on marked trails. Do not cut switchbacks.
  6. Helmets are mandatory. Other protective gear is strongly recommended.
  7. Prior to using any lift you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely. When in doubt, ask a lift operator.
  8. Yield to other types of trail users including hikers, horses and vehicles.
  9. Stay off lifts and out of the Bike Park if your ability is impaired through the use of drugs or alcohol.

Trail Descriptions

Park City Bike Park at Canyons Village includes two skills parks and four skill-level trails with a variety of features, lift serviced bike park is accessed from the High Meadow and Short Cut chairlifts both located at the Red Pine Mid-mountain Adventure Area.

TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS

WHITE RABBIT • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • LESS DIFFICULT
Length: 0.6 miles. Novice level trail with wide, hard surfaces following the natural contours of the mountain.

FLYING SALMON • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • LESS DIFFICULT

Length: 0.8 miles. Novice level flow trail with wide trail surface. An introduction to gravity riding for newcomers on less intimidating terrain, featuring rollers and berms.

WILD MOUSE • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • MORE DIFFICULT
Length: 0.5 miles. Machine built flow trail designed to develop skill level. Featuring rollers, berms, jumps and other introductory level features.

DROPKICK • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • MORE DIFFICULT
Length: 0.85 miles. Machine built flow trail designed to develop skill level. Featuring rollers, berms, jumps, rocks, drops and wood features.

RICOCHET • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • MORE DIFFICULT
Length: 2.5 miles. Singletrack with rollers, berms and wood features, with a vertical drop of 1300’. Access to Resort Village.

RED COAT • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • VERY DIFFICULT
Length 0.5 miles. Hand-built technical singletrack.

INSURGENT • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • VERY DIFFICULT
Length: 1.2 miles. Technical singletrack with features for skilled riders only. Offering vertical drop of 850’. Merges back into Ricochet.

RALLY CAT • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • VERY DIFFICULT

Length: 0.6 miles. Technical, machine-built flow trail featuring dirt jumps and freeride wood features. Requires advanced bike handling skills. Trail contains large features.

GO PRO DOUBLE DOWN • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • EXPERT ONLY
Length: 0.8 miles. An expert only, signature bike park trail, descending 650’, with a design combination of natural and man-made step-downs, step-overs, drops and wood features.

CANYONS DOWNHILL • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • EXPERT ONLY

Length: 2 miles. A technical, hand-built downhill track starting at Lookout Peak, eventually merging into Ricochet. This trail offers a mix of traditional downhill elements including rock drops, off-camber sections, rock gardens and speed zones, descending 1350’.

CLIFFHANGER • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • EXPERT ONLY
Length: 0.15 miles. This technical trail involves rocky singletrack and leads into 10’ elevated wood “skinnies” with multiple drops. This trail requires advanced bike handling skills.

SPLIT DECISION • DOWNHILL BIKE ONLY • EXPERT ONLY
Length: 0.2 miles. This technical singletrack trail includes multiple ladder and bridge wood features, requiring mandatory gaps and drops. This trail requires advanced bike handling skills.

RED PINE SKILLS PARK
Introductory features include a jump line, wood feature line and texture line.
