Road Construction in Provo Canyon update:
(Route to Park City Mountain Resort from Provo via Highway 40)

Provo Canyon construction work will require  nighttime canyon closures through the duration of the project to ensure public safety.  Beginning Monday, February 14, Provo Canyon (US Highway 40) will be closed Monday through Friday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. while construction crews excavate the rock face just east of the Deer Creek Dam.  As this work progresses, nighttime closures may take place less frequently.

To avoid these restrictions, motorists may need to adjust their schedules, utilize I-80 to and from I-15 as an alternate route, and check the following information outlets for the most current information:

  • Dial 511 for Real-Time Information (some phones may need 1-866-511-UTAH)
  • Project Hotline (toll free 24-hour) 1-888-517-8401
  • Electronic Signs Near the Project, and along U.S. 40 and I-15
