Q: Can I use this past season's Season Pass card next season?
A: Yes. If you are renewing, SAVE YOUR PASS, and you'll save time. Once you renew, we'll do the programming on our end so you can go straight to lift next season using your current season pass. No need to wait at the window or take a new picture. Just be sure to keep this year's pass, so you can use it next year with no interruption, once you've completed your online renewal or in-person renewal.
Q: Is online renewal required?
A: No, you can renew online or in person. If you’re purchasing a student pass, you must come with a parent or guardian.
Q: Do I have to show a report card for the Utah Student Pass?
A: No, this is not a grade-driven program. Every Utah student is welcome. However, Utah K-12 student ID or proof of enrollment is required on your first day here next season.
Q: Is there special locals pricing next season?
A: Yes. The Utah Celebration Pass is available to Utah residents until September 30, and the Adult EZ Access Fast Tracks Pass is available to Utah residents through the season. The EZ Access Fast Tracks Pass provides 10 days of direct to lift skiing or riding along with free Fast Tracks Pass.
Q: What if I don't make the September 30 deadline?
A: To get the best prices on season passes, purchase before September 30. However, passes will still be available after this date.
Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: The Resort opens at 9:00 am and lifts close at 4:00 pm. Night skiing is scheduled to open on December 25, 2007 and (operates while conditions permit) through March 30, 2008. The PayDay and First Time lifts will close at 7:30 pm. CLICK HERE for a complete list of hours of operations.
Q: What types of tickets are available to buy?
A: An all day lift ticket provides lift access from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, while a half-day ticket provides access from 12:30 - 4:00 pm. A twilight ticket provides access from 12:30 to 7:30 pm and night tickets are valid from 4:00 to 7:30 pm. (twilight and night skiing will begin on Christmas Day, Dec. 25). Q: What does the Weather Sensor page show?
A: The weather sensor page features readouts from up to six sensors on the mountain going up the ridgeline. This indicates the differences as elevation increases. The map at the top of the page shows the location of each sensor on the mountain. Sensor data can be found directly below the reference map, including the elevation of each sensor.
Q: Where do you put the moguls in the summer?
A: Moguls are created when a run is left ungroomed and skiers and boarders making turns through the powder cut up the run. The turns cut grooves into the run and the accumulation of grooves turns into ‘bumps’ that are known as moguls.
Q: What lifts are open for night skiing and what days do you have night skiing?
A: Night skiing is available via the First Time lift and PayDay lift seven days a week. Night skiing begins Christmas Day, Dec. 25 and continues throughout the season while conditions permit.
Q: What is the elevation in Park City?
A: The base of the Park City Mountain Resort is 6,900 feet above sea level. The top of Jupiter Peak is 10,000 feet.
Q: What is the average snowfall at Park City Mountain Resort?
A: The 20-year average snowfall measured at the top of the Jupiter chair is 355 inches per year:
- 61.2 inches for November
- 65.5 inches for December
- 68.6 inches for January
- 66.8 inches for February
- 63.8 inches for March
- 29.4 inches for April
Q: If I am interested in other winter activities at Park City Mountain Resort, how can I book or make arrangements?
A: There are plenty of alternate activities including tubing, ice skating, sleigh rides and more. For information on tubing or kids' snowmobile rides at Gorgoza Park, call 435.658.2648 or look at the Gorgoza Park page on this web site. Q: I am a disabled skier; does Park City Mountain Resort offer any options for me?
A: Park City Mountain Resort is home to the National Ability Center. Based at Park City Mountain Resort, the National Ability Center’s alpine skiing and snowboarding program for individuals with disabilities has been rated one of the best in the country. Q: How Can I get a copy of the Vacation Planner and/or Trail Map sent to me?
A: We would be happy to send you a copy of the Planner and Trail Map. You will just need to fill out and submit the online Vacation Planner Request Form. CLICK HERE to go there now. Q: How can I find the best deal for my vacation?
A: Park City Mountain Reservations has a number of deals going on that combine lodging and lift tickets. CLICK HERE to see the current Vacation Packages. Park City Mountain Reservations offers full travel agent services and can customize any package. Q: Do you have an Intermountain Lift Ticket?
A: Park City Mountain Resort offers the Silver Passport, a single lift ticket to all three resorts in the Park City area. The Silver Passport must be purchased prior to arrival in conjunction with lodging from participating lodging providers or Park City Mountain Reservations. Call 800-222-PARK(7275).
Q: Does Park City Mountain Resort have daycare?
A: The Resort does not have on-site daycare. However, ski lessons are available for kids ages 3.5 years and up if they are toilet trained. CLICK HERE for more ski school information.
Q: Do you need a car in Park City?
A: Guests are encouraged to use the City's free, skier friendly Transit System. The free City Shuttle runs approximately every 20 minutes from 7:20 am until midnight during the ski season and allows easy access to the Resort along with restaurants, nightlife and shopping. Reachable locations via the free City Shuttle service include: the town of Park City, Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, Main Street, two large grocery stores/mini-malls, medical facilities and Kimball Junction with Walmart and the Factory Outlet Stores. Q: How far away is the Salt Lake International airport from Park City?
A: Salt Lake International Airport is located 36 miles from Park City. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Park City by car, on I-80 eastbound from Salt Lake City.
Q: How can I get to Park City from the airport?
A: Rental cars, shuttles and cabs make the drive to Park City from the airport quick and easy. A convenient option is a ground transfer from the airport, via ten-person taxi vans. Various ground transfer companies are located at the baggage claim area at the airport. Reservations are highly recommended and can be handled by your lodging reservation agent or Park City Mountain Reservations at 800-222-PARK(7275).
Q: What is the average temperature going to be during my trip?
A: The average monthly temperature is:
- 42 degrees for November
- 34 degrees for December
- 31 degrees for January
- 35 degrees for February
- 40 degrees for March
- 50 degrees for April
These are average temperatures, so layers work best for dressing any time during the ski season. Sunscreen is strongly recommended all season long.
Q: Will my condominium have a kitchen?
A: Condominiums as small as a studio usually have some kitchen facilities. Condominiums with one bedroom or larger usually have a kitchen consisting of a refrigerator, oven/stove and microwave. Most have dishwashers. Ask your Park City Mountain Reservations Specialist to confirm for your needs.
Q: Do you allow snowboarding at Park City Mountain Resort?
A: Park City Mountain Resort allows snowboarding. In fact, our terrain parks have been ranked #1 by Transworld Snowboarding magazine.
Q: Does your Resort have any parks or pipes?
A: Do we ever! Park City Mountain Resort is home to some of the best terrain parks and superpipe in the country, including the Eagle Superpipe, which hosted the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Visit pcride.com to see our four different parks designed for various skill levels.
Q: Will there be new terrain features this year?
A: Yes!!!! We have over 50 fun boxes, rails and hits plus a lighted jib park, for everything a freerider could ask for.
Q: Who are the "Park City All-Stars"?
A: The Park City All-Stars are an elite group of nationally recognized freeriders that ride our parks everyday. They provide input on the Resort’s terrain parks and pipe that helps to keep Park City Mountain Resort the leader in the industry. This year’s lineup of Park City All-Stars include: Shaun White, Jeremy Jones, Marc Frank Montoya, Scotty Arnold, Aaron Bittner, Tanner Hall, Pep Fujas, Erin Comstock, Stevie Bell, Drew Fuller, John Symms and Ashley Battersby.
Q: Does Park City Mountain Resort offer Snowboard lessons?
