RESCHEDULED TO APRIL 15th: 21st Annual Pond Skimming

April 08, 2017
Location: Red Pine Lodge

The Pond Skimming Contest is Park City's most popular party and is the true indicator that spring has arrived. Contestants must dress in costume (the funkier the better) as they attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. DJ Velvet will be there dropping beats during the event. The pond and the excitement happen at mid-mountain just outside Red Pine Lodge. Must be 10 years of age or older to enter.  Spectators will need a lift or gondola ticket to watch. Then, hit up the Canyons Village for a free concert.

Event schedule and date subject to change. Registration is NOW OPEN!

Sat., Apr. 15 11:30 AM Pond Skim Venue is open!
Stake your claim for the best viewing at 11:30. VIP area access will also be open at this time. Upon entering the venue, check out the booths by our partners Supergoop! and Verizon, and grab a Bud Light or Pepsi with a specialty grill item from our dining team.
  12:00 PM First competitor DROPS!
What's the likelihood Bib #1 will skim it all the way across? Be there on time to catch all of the action.

The awards will be presented to the Best Overall Male, Best Overall Female, Best Costume, and Best Splash & Crash.
  2:45 PM Boxzilla Starts
The infamous monster feature, Boxzilla, returns to Park City Mountain on Saturday, April 8, immediately following the 21st Annual Pond Skimming Competition, to wreak pain and havoc on all who attempt to conquer it! At over 200 feet long, riding to the end of this Park City original feature is no small task. The first male and female skiers and snowboarders to complete Boxzilla will win a $50 Park City gift card. Come take your best shot! Register online here.
  4:00 PM Boxzilla Closes
