Know Before You Go
what to know before you go
Prepare for your lesson
Arriving prepared for your lesson is key to maximizing your day on the slopes with your instructor. Below you can find information on where to go, what to expect, and what to bring.
Lesson Locations
Lesson location may vary based on ability level and lesson type. Please reference the location selected at the time of purchase or review the lesson preparation email sent shortly before your lesson date. If you arrive at the incorrect location, your reserved lesson may not be available. Please contact us in advance if your lesson needs to be moved.
What to Expect
- Child lessons will be grouped by ability level and similar age range. The instructor will base the day on individual skills and group goals.
- Participants will have fun learning new skills while exploring level appropriate terrain.
- Full Day lessons include lunch, with food provided at one of our on-mountain restaurants. If your child has specific dietary needs, you will be required to provide an appropriate lunch for them.
- Kids Lessons meet on snow: make sure they are well fed, dressed with their gear. Be sure they have a bathroom break before they arrive.
What to Expect
- Adult group lessons will be sorted by ability level.
- Instructors will determine a lesson plan after identifying participants skills, needs and goals.
- Our half day lessons are designed to help you get the most out of the day: Improve your skills, learn new tactics, have fun, and get to know "Your Mountain."
What to Expect
- Private Lessons are individualized instruction to meet your desired goals. You may choose to have up to six participants in a Private Lesson.
- Your personal instructor will help craft a lesson plan, taking into account your goals, current experience and skill level.
- We recommend, for the success of all, to have participants that are similar skill levels. When the lesson is for kids, similar age ranges work best. If there is a wide range of age and skill, the lesson plan may be limited to terrain that is appropriate for the safety of all students.
What You Need
Your comfort and safety is our number one priority, so review the following items to ensure you are fully equipped for your ski or snowboard lesson.
Lift Access
All guests must have a pass or a lift ticket to participate in a lesson. Best pricing is available online, in advance.
Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment and boots if already owned. If renting, please arrive an hour prior to your lesson start time to ensure enough time for pick up.
Helmets
A winter sport helmet is required for all lesson participants aged 14 and under, and 18 and under in designated children’s lessons. We strongly encourage helmet use for all ages. Helmets can be included along with a rental order or rented separately.
Clothing & Accessories
Waterproof snow pants and gloves or mittens are required to keep you warm and dry. Goggles are also required to protect your eyes from the cold air and block UV light.
