With the largest and most advanced snowmaking system in Utah, Park City Mountain aims to deliver earlier openings, more consistent coverage, and a smoother start to every season. Our state-of-the-art snowmaking technology helps create a high-quality snow surface, even when natural snowfall is limited. Our commitment to investing in snowmaking means guests can enjoy more terrain, more often. 

We're investing in upgrades across both Mountain Village and Canyons Village:

• Claimjumper: Replacing nearly 1,000 feet of pipe to improve snowmaking efficiency
• Terrain Park Prep: Strategic earthwork to reduce snow needs and speed up terrain park openings
• Chicane & Another World (2024): Enhanced connections between upper and lower elevations for better early-season flow

And because we believe progress should come with environmental sustainability at the forefront, we’re investing in energy-efficient equipment alongside investments in renewable energy. 

A major transformation is underway at Canyons Village with the construction of a modern parking structure and welcome plaza designed to make your journey effortless from the moment you arrive. Featuring covered parking, improved drop off zones, direct access , to the Cabriolet,  and seamless pedestrian flow, this new arrival space will make mountain access easier and more intuitive than ever before. It’s all part of a larger effort to reduce traffic and congestion, support sustainability, and enhance the guest experience from the moment you arrive.

Beginner skiers and riders will soon discover an all-new Ski and Ride School experience near Red Pine Lodge, where an expanded learning zone offers a welcoming and engaging environment designed with confidence and fun at the forefront. As part of the Sunrise Gondola project, the original learning area is being transformed and expanded with upgraded carpets and improved terrain, creating a space that invites confidence and sparks a lifelong love for the sport under the guidance of our expert instructors. More than a place to learn, this is where lifelong love for the mountains begins, and every guest feels like they belong from the start.

Alongside this new learning zone, Red Pine Lodge will undergo a transformation featuring a brand-new dining area. This meticulously designed space will open right out onto the beginner area, offering the perfect place for kids to recharge as they learn. These enhancements reflect Park City Mountain’s commitment welcoming every ability level to write their own story.
